Purpose

Each chemical spill must be treated differently, depending on the chemical, severity and other circumstances surrounding the situation.  This section outlines some general guidelines and reference material on when it’s safe and OK for employees to clean up spills themselves.

It is important to go over safe clean up practices, which depends on the materials being used in the lab, therefore spill clean-up training is always considered lab-specific training.
