Purpose
As part of OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (HAZCOMM) detailed in OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910.1200, employees must know where and have access to all SDS’s for hazardous materials in their work environment. A full description of what is required or can be found in an SDS is described on the OSHA website here.

- Location of where SDS’s can be found.
- Who is responsible for collecting and updating SDS inventory.
- Who to contact to retrieve an SDS from the inventory.
