How to Install ChemDoodle (Linux)

To install chemdoodle, first open your terminal emulator of choice. Next, download the installation bin file from the Chem-Diamond3 Server:
curl -O -u AD\\*Username* smb://chem-diamond3.ad.wsu.edu/jukebox/ChemDoodle/Linux/64bit/v8.1.0/ChemDoodle-linux-8.1.0.bin
Replace *username* with your WSU network ID and then press enter. You must be on the WSU wireless (or using our VPN) to download this file. Then Press Enter. Allow the file time to download. Once completed, type in:
You will be greeted by a terminal script asking if you would like to proceed. Press enter. Once the script has finished. Open the Chemdoodle application.
Accept the agreement.
Select the Free Trial Option
Allow the Activation Process to Proceed
Open Chemdoodle, and then close the program
Next, return to your terminal emulator and copy this and run this command (note to replace *Username* with your WSU ID:
curl -O -u AD\\*Username* smb://chem-diamond3.ad.wsu.edu/jukebox/ChemDoodle/Linux/64bit/v8.1.0/site_license.config && mv /home/*Username*/site_license.config /home/*Username*/ChemDoodle/config/ site_license.config
ChemDoodle should now run. To clean up your home folder, run this command:
