All WSU members, including students, staff, and faculty, have access to free copies of Microsoft Office 365. You are allowed to download up to 5 copies of Office onto any PC/Mac, and up to 5 copies on any mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.). The Microsoft Office package includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and many other programs.

You do NOT need to be connected to the VPN to install and use Office – even if you are off-campus – because licensing is done on Microsoft’s end over the internet.

MSOffice 2019 is also available for AD-member computers. This is the traditional install option rather than the cloud-based Office 365. We recommend using this version for most lab or instrument machines.
