Installing MathCAD

“PTC Mathcad is math software that allows you to solve, analyze and share your most vital engineering calculations.” – www.ptc.com

NEWS

06/21/2019 — Mathcad Express free lifetime licenses available!! PTC is offering this version to anyone who wants it. It’s presented as, “…a lighter version of PTC Mathcad 5.0.” So it will have fewer features, but it’s free. You can sign up to get the download here. Please note that this is NOT the version typically used here on campus. Mathcad v15 and Prime 3.1 installation guides can be found below.

12/31/2015 — Mathcad Prime 3.1 –  Has Arrived! Unlike v14, Mathcad Prime 3.1 can be installed concurrently with v15 (but still not v14).  See below for instructions on how to update your v15 or older worksheets to be compatible with Prime 3.1.   Mathcad Prime 3.1 will only run on Windows 7 and newer.
NOTE: MathCAD v15 required for migrating Worksheets to Prime v3.1!

11/16/2015 — Mathcad has finally been restored! Due to both new licensing for v15, and a new licensing server, a fresh install is required. Older v14 versions will NOT work with the new license/licensing server. If you previously had v14 installed, the v15 installer will remove it for you automatically during the loading process; v14 and v15 cannot run concurrently on the same computer.
