Faculty Notice of Vacancy

Assistant Professor (Teaching), career-track faculty (non-tenure) position in Pullman, WA, with a specialty in Chemistry. This position is a fixed-term, nine-month, three-year appointment with possibility of renewal. Additional summer teaching appointments are also possible, but not guaranteed. We seek applicants who are primarily engaged in teaching undergraduate courses, including introductory and general chemistry, and other scholarly and service activities. The successful candidate is expected to provide outstanding teaching at the undergraduate level, have a passion for teaching, and enthusiasm for innovation in undergraduate chemistry education. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will begin the appointment on August 16, 2024.

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Stockroom Positions

The Department of Chemistry regularly hires undergraduate students as teaching assistants, stockroom attendants, and office assistants. Hourly pay ranges from $15.74 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience. Undergrads in good academic standing typically work up to 10 hours per week.
