Fetch the Driver<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Connect to Chem-jukebox<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Navigate to the Ricoh 8300s Drivers > Mac<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Open the Ricoh Driver<\/strong> text file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Copy the URL from the text file and paste into your web browser.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Choose Mac OS X<\/strong>.\n

    • If you don\u2019t know which version of Mac OS you\u2019re on, open System Preferences<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The first line of the System Preferences<\/strong> window tells you which version of Mac OS you\u2019re using. You will need this information for the next step.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Choose the correct version of Mac OS for your system and Download<\/strong> the files.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Open the downloaded file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Double-click the package Ricoh_PS_Printers_Vol5_EXP_LIO_Driver.pkg<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • A window will open to install the necessary set of drivers. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Close the window after installation is complete.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Open System Settings<\/strong> and select Printers and Scanners<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Click the +<\/strong> option in the lower left to add a printer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • In the Add<\/strong> window, select IP<\/strong> to configure a network printer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • In the Address<\/strong> field, enter diamond5.chem.wsu.edu<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • In the Use<\/strong> field, choose Select Software…<\/strong> from the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • In the Printer Software<\/strong> window, search for Ricoh Pro 8300s<\/strong> and select the corresponding driver when it appears.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • In the Add<\/strong> window, click Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Drivers are now installed on this device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Setup “Pin Printing” and \u201cHold Prints\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      1. Open a document and select File > Print<\/strong> or press Command+P<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Select Ricoh Pro 8300s<\/strong> from the Printer<\/strong> drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click Copies and Pages<\/strong>, then select Job Log<\/strong> from the drop-down menu. (This menu is located below the Presets<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Enter your name in the User ID<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. Select Hold Print<\/strong> from the Job Type<\/strong> drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. Check the tickbox for Enable User Code<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      7. Enter the last four digits of your WSU ID in the User Code<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      8. Select Save Current Settings as Preset…<\/strong> from the Presets<\/strong> drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      9. Save the settings with any name. Ensure that Only this printer<\/strong> is selected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
