SPIP is available to all faculty and graduate students in Fulmer. It is available to undergraduate chemistry majors. It is available for Windows only<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We use a network license. Your PC must be connected to the Internet when you launch SPIP. If you are not on the WSU-Pullman campus, you must\u00a0connect to the VPN<\/a>\u00a0before launching SPIP.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n

Installing SPIP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Connect to Chem-jukebox<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Navigate to the SPIP <\/strong>folder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Launch the SPIP.exe<\/strong> application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Complete the installation wizard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Licensing SPIP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    SPIP uses a network license. You must connect to the license server to activate SPIP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Connect to Chem-jukebox<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Confirm that you can reach the license server by navigating to \\\\chem-FIT-Zulu.ad.wsu.edu<\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. If you see the SPIPShare<\/strong> folder, success! You can view the SPIP share.\n
        \n
      • You may be asked to authenticate. Authenticate with your Network ID.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • username: AD\\Your.NetworkID<\/code><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • password: (Your network ID password)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Open the SPIPShare<\/strong> folder<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Launch SPIP<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • SPIP will open a license window. Click the I have a license…<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • In the License Management<\/strong> window, select the Configure shared dongle<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • In the Shared Dongle File Path<\/strong> field, enter\u00a0\\\\chem-FIT-Zulu.ad.wsu.edu\\SPIPShare\\spip.mx<\/strong><\/code>\n

        • SPIP should find the dongle and show License is valid<\/strong> in the window. Click the Use shared dongle<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
