In particular, we will focus on the interface between physics, chemistry, materials science, and biophysics that is most conveniently described as Physical Chemistry on the Nanometer Scale.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chem.wsu.edu\/hipps\/instruct\/\">Eight outstanding scientists<\/a>\u00a0from all of these disciplines have agreed to present both the fundamentals and the exciting frontiers of their specialties at this summer school.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-173 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.wp.wsu.edu\/uploads\/sites\/1718\/2017\/09\/Hoh.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-chem\/uploads\/sites\/1718\/2017\/09\/Hoh.jpg 512w, https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-chem\/uploads\/sites\/1718\/2017\/09\/Hoh-198x198.jpg 198w, https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-chem\/uploads\/sites\/1718\/2017\/09\/Hoh-396x396.jpg 396w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The organizers have received a grant from The American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund to subsidize up to 70 participants. It is planned that ALL participants who are accepted will receive either partially or fully subsidized registration fees, which include the following:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/chem.wsu.edu\/hipps\/accommodations\/\">Accommodations<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/dining.wsu.edu\">Meals<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Transportation to\/from Airport<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Poster presentation, followed by a cruise dinner in Coeur d&#8217;Alene, Idaho at the lovely and world-renowned\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdaresort.com\/home.asp\">Coeur d&#8217;Alene Resort<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Use of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/urec.wsu.edu\">WSU Athletic Facilities<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<p>Further, limited funds are available for travel grants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<p align=\"center\">Conference Organizer:<br \/>\nDr. K.W.
