A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the research group of Dmitri Davydov at the Department of Chemistry, Washington State University (Pullman, WA). The position is for investigating the interactions of alcohol-inducible cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) with other drug-metabolizing enzymes in human liver and the effect of these interactions on the functional properties of human drug metabolizing system as a functional entity. The research is funded by a grant from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. We are looking for a recent Ph.D. graduate in biochemistry/molecular biology with a good publication record. A strong background in enzymology and protein biophysics is required. Proficiency in the methods of protein purification and modification and a hand-on experience in LC-MS techniques are desirable.
