Setup for Ricoh 8300s

Fetch the Driver

1. Connect to Chem-jukebox.
2. Navigate to the Ricoh 8300s Drivers > Mac.
3. Open the Ricoh Driver text file.
4. Copy the URL from the text file and paste into your web browser.
5. Choose Mac OS X.
   • If you don’t know which version of Mac OS you’re on, open System Preferences.
   • The first line of the System Preferences window tells you which version of Mac OS you’re using. You will need this information for the next step.
6. Choose the correct version of Mac OS for your system and Download the files.
7. Open the downloaded file.
8. Double-click the package Ricoh_PS_Printers_Vol5_EXP_LIO_Driver.pkg.
9. A window will open to install the necessary set of drivers. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.
10. Close the window after installation is complete.
11. Open System Settings and select Printers and Scanners.
12. Click the + option in the lower left to add a printer.
13. In the Add window, select IP to configure a network printer.
14. In the Address field, enter diamond5.chem.wsu.edu.
15. In the Use field, choose Select Software… from the drop-down menu.
16. In the Printer Software window, search for Ricoh Pro 8300s and select the corresponding driver when it appears.
17. In the Add window, click Add.
18. Drivers are now installed on this device.

Setup “Pin Printing” and “Hold Prints”

1. Open a document and select File > Print or press Command+P.
2. Select Ricoh Pro 8300s from the Printer drop-down menu.
3. Click Copies and Pages, then select Job Log from the drop-down menu. (This menu is located below the Presets field.
4. Enter your name in the User ID field.
5. Select Hold Print from the Job Type drop-down menu.
6. Check the tickbox for Enable User Code.
7. Enter the last four digits of your WSU ID in the User Code field.
8. Select Save Current Settings as Preset… from the Presets drop-down menu.
9. Save the settings with any name. Ensure that Only this printer is selected.
10. Click Print to print to the Ricoh.
