Setup for Ricoh 8300s

Fetch the Driver

  1. Connect to Chem-jukebox.
  2. Navigate to the Ricoh 8300s Drivers > PC > 1.PCL6V4_Universal_Print-No_Win7 folder.
  3. Launch the n87160L1.exe application.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions in the install wizard to:
    • Choose a temporary folder for the Winzip Self-Extractor
    • Choose a folder to unzip files to (Desktop recommended)
    • Unzip the files
  5. Run the RV_SETUP.exe application (located on the Desktop or whatever location you chose in step 4).
  6. Agree to the the End User License Agreement.
  7. Select a setup method: choose Network.
  8. Select a device: choose Pro 8300s.
  9. Install Device Software Manager: Do NOT check the Install Device Software Manager tickbox.
  10. Click Finish.

Adding User PIN for 305 Ricoh printer

In order to use the Ricoh printer in 305, you must have been granted access and given a PIN. This guide will show you how to add the feature once the printer has already been installed.

  1. Open the Control Panel from the Start Menu.
  2. Navigate to Devices and Printers.
  3. Right-click on PCL6 V4 Driver for Universal Print and select Printing Preferences
    • This name may vary depending on what name you gave it. Click on whichever printer is the 305 Ricoh printer.
  4. Under Job Type select Hold Print.
  5. Click Details…
  6. In the Enter User ID field, enter the last 4 digits of your WSU ID.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Switch to the Detailed Settings tab. Here you will repeat similar steps from above.
  9. Under Job Type select Hold Print.
  10. In the User Code field, enter the last 4 digits of your WSU ID.
  11. Click Details… and ensure that your WSU ID appears in the Enter User ID field.
  12. Click OK. You are now ready to print.
