Setup for Canon C5850

Fetch the Driver

  1. Connect to Chem-jukebox.
  2. Navigate to the Printer_Drivers > Canon > Windows folder.
  3. Copy the Generic_Plus_UFRII_v2.70_Set-up_x64 folder to your computer.
    • This can be done by simply dragging the folder to your desktop or right clicking, copying, then pasting the folder in your desired location (this may take some time).
  4. Once the folder has been copied to your computer. Open the folder and launch the Setup.exe application.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions in the installation wizard to:
    • Accept the License Agreement.
    • Choose Custom setup.
    • Leave Canon Driver Information Assist unticked.
    • Ensure that Auto Select is ticked.
  6. In the Printer Information window, Change the name in the Printer Name Field to Chem Canon C5850.
  7. Click Add Port…
  8. In the Add Port window, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then click OK.
  9. Another window will pop up for this part of the configuration process. Click Next.
  10. In the Printer Name or IP Address field, enter the IP address of 134.121.40.121
  11. Click Next.
  12. Ensure that the IP address is 134.121.40.121, then click Finish.
  13. In the Printer Information window, once again make sure that the Port field shows 134.121.40.121.
  14. Click Next.
  15. Make sure that your printer name, configuration profile, and port match the previous options you selected.
  16. Click Start.
  17. Wait for the installation process, this may take some time.
  18. Restart your computer to complete installation.

Setup “Hold” printing

You must setup “Hold” printing for this printer as you would with “The Big Ricoh” that is also in Fulmer 305.

  1. Open Settings from the Start Menu.
  2. Navigate to Devices.
  3. Select the Printers & Scanners tab on the left
  4. Select Chem Canon C5850, then click Manage
  5. Click Printing Preferences.
  6. In the new window, select Hold from the Output Method drop-down menu.
  7. Confirm this selection by choosing Yes.
  8. In the Hold Details window, choose User File Name, then click OK.
  9. In the Printing Preferences window, click Apply to save these changes.

Access “Hold” prints from the Canon Printer Control Panel

  1. Approach the Canon C5850 control panel and log in with your credentials.
  2. Tap the Hold icon.
  3. You will see a list of documents that are available to print.
    • Tap the document you want to print.
    • Tap Delete After Printing.
    • Tap Start Printing to print your document.
