Installing MatLab from Active Directory

If you are faculty, staff or a graduate student in chemistry, your PC runs Windows, and your PC is in Active Directory.

1. Open the control panel and click Get Programs.
2. Launch the MatLab application.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions in the install wizard. Installation is slow and can take more than 10 minutes to complete.
4. When MatLab has been installed, you will see a message. Acknowledge the message and close the control panel.

Running MatLab for the First Time

MatLab has some dependent libraries that will install on first launch. Be patient.

1. Launch the MatLab application from the Start Menu.
2. A command prompt will open and Windows will install some required libraries. Typically two libraries are installed.
3. After the libraries are installed, MatLab will launch. This can take several minutes.
