SPIP

SPIP is available to all faculty and graduate students in Fulmer. It is available to undergraduate chemistry majors. It is available for Windows only.

We use a network license. Your PC must be connected to the Internet when you launch SPIP. If you are not on the WSU-Pullman campus, you must connect to the VPN before launching SPIP.

Installing SPIP

  1. Connect to Chem-jukebox.
  2. Navigate to the SPIP folder.
  3. Launch the SPIP.exe application.
  4. Complete the installation wizard.

Licensing SPIP

SPIP uses a network license. You must connect to the license server to activate SPIP.

  1. Connect to Chem-jukebox.
  2. Confirm that you can reach the license server by navigating to \\chem-FIT-Zulu.ad.wsu.edu.
  3. If you see the SPIPShare folder, success! You can view the SPIP share.
    • You may be asked to authenticate. Authenticate with your Network ID.
    • username: AD\Your.NetworkID
    • password: (Your network ID password)
  4. Open the SPIPShare folder
  5. Launch SPIP
  6. SPIP will open a license window. Click the I have a license… button.
  7. In the License Management window, select the Configure shared dongle tab
  8. In the Shared Dongle File Path field, enter \\chem-FIT-Zulu.ad.wsu.edu\SPIPShare\spip.mx
    • SPIP should find the dongle and show License is valid in the window. Click the Use shared dongle button.
  9. SPIP is ready to use.
