Christopher Carroll

  1. LSST – DA Catalyst Fellow
LocationWebster 927

Baldassare Group

Dr. Carroll first joined the Department of Physics and Astronomy as a postdoctoral research associate in September 2021. In 2022, he was awarded a four-year LSST-DA Catalyst Fellowship to serve as an ambassador for LSST research in preparation of operations at the Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile.

His research focuses primarily on active galactic nuclei, with a particular interest in the identification of these supermassive black holes in obscured systems, where typical selection methods fail.
