Meet the Officers

Natalie Yaw (she/her)

President

Natalie is a third year PhD student in the Guo Lab studying nuclear waste forms. When not at work you can find Natalie in her community garden plot, brewing her own beer, or playing a sport she’s not good at.

Brooke Bonar (she/her)

Vice President

Brooke is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Peterson lab focused on applying novel methods to computational actinide thermochemistry. In her free time, she enjoys baking, pasta making, and hanging out with her cat, Photon.

Ian Haltom (he/him)

Treasurer

Ian is a third year PhD student in the Boncella Lab studying groovy f-block coordination compounds. Ian enjoys long walks on the beach, D&D, and homebrewing (not as well as Natalie, but he tries).

Elizabeth Groetsma (she/her)

Secretary

Elizabeth is a third year PhD student in the Reilly Lab studying the utilization of digital waveform technology in ion guides, filters, and traps. Outside of the lab she enjoys rock climbing, playing volleyball, and reading with her cat Pepper.

Shinhyo Bang (he/him)

Public Relations Officer

Meet Shinhyo, a third-year PhD student in the Guo Group who’s currently studying actinide materials in extreme environments. When he’s not in the lab, you can find him hiking in the mountains or strumming his guitar.

Will Vance (he/him)

Librarian

My name is Will Vance and I am a second-year graduate in the Moreau group. I’m currently researching the formation of anisotropic actinide nanoparticles. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and hiking.
