 Setting Up the Gloria Color Printer

The Gloria color printer a multipurpose color printer located in Room 305. It is the smaller printer of the two in the room. The printer is available for staff, faculty, and graduate student use. Here we will document the process of installing and setting up the printer for functional use. The printer is setup to hold prints for the user until the user is at the printer interface. Once at the printer, the user can enter there 4 digit code, which is the last 4 digits of you network ID number (NID) and release the print.

If users already has the drivers for the Ricoh MP C300SR installed, no new drivers will need to be installed. If the user has never installed the drivers, then the user will have to find and install the drivers via Jukebox. This tutorial can be seen here.

After installing the printer driver and setting up the printer as necessary. We can now move on to the hold-print setup. Go into the printer and devices and right-click the correct printer and enter the Printer Preferences.

Once in the Printer Preferences switch the job type to “Hold-Print”.

After the setting the Job Type to “Hold Print,” Click the details button, this will bring up the job type details of the printer.

Set your user ID to be, whatever your preference is. The User ID must be less than 8 characters long and can only contain alphabetical and numeric characters.

After setting up the job type details, then click “OK” and then click the “Detailed Setting” tab located at the top of the window.

After entering the Detailed Settings tab, then click the “Job Setup” tab. This will be where you enter your  “User Code.”

Enter you user code, which is the last four digits of network ID number (NID).

After hitting “Apply” and “OK” the hold-print setup will be complete, and you can now send prints to Gloria.
